After 2 years when we couldn´t travel abroad due to covid-19, we are finally getting ready for an exhibiton! Coupe Icare, also known as Icarus Cup, is an annual paragliding festival in France, that takes place on the beginning of autumn and lasts for 4 days. This year it goes on from 16th till 19t h September 2021.
The exhibition takes place in beautiful sceneries of the French Alps, specifically in villages Saint-Hilaire and Lumbin. These two villages have become an unique place for flying, because of its take off areas 1000 m AMSL and landing area height 250 m AMSL. Huge advantage are 4 take-off areas and wide landling zone. There is also a Saint-Hilaire chairlift which connects take-off and landing areas. Thanks to Coupe Icare this place has become one of the most famous places for paragliding and hang gliding in the world.
